TLoS: LotDW CH 12

The sand demon part 1

It was early in the morning. Spyro walked in the castle and thought some things though.
`If princess Ailiera is right, then are they testing us.… Cynder was first, then Flame and me… but then their next target might be…´ he thought but got interrupted when he saw Ember walking up to him.
"Oh Spyro" she said.
"Oh hi Ember" Spyro replied before he continued. "How is Flame? Is he alright?"
"Yes he is fine. He woke up a moment ago, but he is resting now" said Ember and then noticed that Spyro had a wound on his arm.
"Oh no you're hurt" she said and looked closer at the wound.
"What? Oh that. It is noting… just a bruise" said Spyro to calm her down but she didn't take it lightly.
"Don't say it isn't anything! A wound is a wound" She said and moved her head closer to his. She saw a little chance there, as she had shocked him and she was so close to him. Ember slowly moved her lips towards Spyro's. Spyro noticed it and his eyes widened in surprise.
"Ehmm…" said a voice behind them and they both looked to see Cynder standing there, and looked at them with a mad look on her face.
There was a awkward silence before Cynder spoke again: "The princess wants to see us all soon…" she said with a cold tone, not sounding if she was affected of what she saw.
Spyro saw a chance to get out of Ember's grasp.
"Eh… okay I will… go and check on Flame" he said and slowly walked away.
`That was close,… if it would have been Flame… then I would be dead by now´ he thought with a sign.

After Spyro was gone then did Ember let out a soft giggle.
"Oh. He is a so charming warrior"
Cynder had at this point turned her back against Ember.
"I can't get enough of him. He is just so talented, so powerful and stronger then the others" Ember continued babbling.
"He is so special and perfect. He is-" but at this time did Cynder turn back again and yelled at the pink dragoness.
"WILL YOU SHUT UP!!" Ember got shocked by the sudden loud tone from the black dragoness.
"What is there so special about him? He hasn't done anything heroic yet." continued Cynder.
Ember was too shocked to say anything before Cynder continued again.
"He is just-just th…-THAT JERK!!!" Cynder's voice could be heart though the castle.
The princess was panting but the yell made her make a small mistake on the paper.
"Oops. I have to start over now…, I wonder what all that was about"
Spyro stood there and thought a bit. `I think that one was because of me…´

Spyro found Flame''s room and stood in the doorway to look in.
"Hi Flame are you alright?"
"Hey buddy. Yeah I am okay… thanks to you" said the red dragon with a smile while he lied in his bed. He had really recovered quickly these past days.
"Well… you could have been more messed up" said Spyro and stroked the back of his head.
"Yeah I could have got killed" chuckled Flame jokingly.
"Oh yeah… the princess wants to see us soon, but maybe should you just stay in bed to rest…"
"No way. I am coming. It is my duty to go" said Flame and moved himself up from the bed.
"But Flame you are-…" said Spyro but Flame continued.
"I am not putting my duties aside… I am coming too" said Flame and stared at Spyro with a serious face.
"O-Okay Flame" said Spyro as he gave up.

They walked inside the princesses room. Cynder glared coldly at them.
"What is wrong with her?" whispered Flame to Spyro.
"Y-You don't want to know…" he whispered back.
`Yeah right…´ thought Flame.
"Can we hear why you have called us here my lady?" asked Spyro.
"Yes. I might know our enemies next target. And this time it will be-…" said the princess but got interrupted by a loud sound.
"Oh no that was the warning sign! They are attacking us!" gasped the princess.
"Alright lets move out!" said Flame. Spyro and Cynder gave an agreeing nod.
They ran outside to see what was going on… but there was nothing to see.
"What the? There is no one here. Where are they?" asked Spyro confused.
"They are here somewhere. They are planning something" said Cynder and pulled out her katana.
`What a genius…´ thought Flame and rolled his eyes.
Spyro looked around to see if he could see anyone… but he noticed something else…. The sand near Cynder moved by itself.
"Cynder, look out! It is a trap!!" he shouted but it was too late as a huge tentacle of sand gripped Cynder around her waist and lifted her into the air.
"Cynder!" shouted Spyro again.
"Spyro watch out!" shouted Flame this time but again was it too late as two other sand tentacles grabbed them around the waist and lifted them up. They all three dropped there katanas in the process.
They all tried to fight against the sand.
"What? My hand! It is stuck!" said Cynder after she had tried to punch herself out but with no luck.
"My sail? I can't cut though it!" said Flame after he had tried to cut the sand.
"It is no use… it is sand. We can't cut though it!" said Spyro.
They all saw something started to form into the sand and it looked like another dragon… or a demon.
"Well, well. And I thought you all where dumb" said the demon.
