Spyro's lost family CH 28

Taking care of LightShade again

Singe and NightShade had once again went out to hunt more food so the younger dragons had to take care of LightShade once again but this time it was Flame that was chosen to keep an eye on his half brother.
"Why me?" asked Flame while the little dragon jumped lightly on his back.
"We did most of the job last time" Said Cynder who had come over the shock of finding out who her parents was.
"Fine… maybe can Ember help me" sighed Flame and walked towards the pink dragoness but LightShade kept jumping on him so it was hard to concentrate.
"Lie still" said Flame annoyed but LightShade didn't stop.
Flame sighed deeply.
"Something wrong?" asked Ember, she started to sound and look normal by now.
"It is just LightShade is being annoying" said Flame and LightShade then tried to get on Flame's head.
But he by accident took Flame at his horns and then lost his grip with his hind legs so he pulled Flame's horns back.
Flame yelped but Ember giggled.
Flame turned around to look at his half brother who had let go of his horns and then slide down on Flame's back. The little dragon looked up at Flame with a faint smile as he didn't do it on purpose.
Flame just sighed as he know there wasn't anything he could do about it.
"Hey Flame I have a question" said Ember.
"Yeah?" asked Flame and looked at her.
"Have you ever thought too… have children in the future?"
"Why are you asking that?" asked Flame and felt a little awkward.
"Just curious" giggled Ember.
Flame smiled as he heard her giggle again… in the start was it annoying but he had actually missed it.
"Well… I haven't really thought about it but I guess I want to have a kid or two" said Flame.
"What gender should it be?" asked Ember.
"Hard to say… but I think I mostly want a daughter" said Flame.
"Same here" said Ember and after that was there a long silence.
But then Sparx came into the room "Now where is that little guy?"
"Who?" asked Flame
"NightShade and Singe's kid of course"
"Oh he is on my back" said Flame and looked behind him.
LightShade lay curled up into a ball on Flame's back and was sleeping.
"Awwww he looks so cute" giggled Ember.
"Yeah… yeah he does" admitted Flame.
"Bugger… I hoped I could teach him some insulting words towards you and and Spyro" said Sparx and Flame rolled his eyes.
"Get lost Sparx and let him sleep" said Flame.
"If you say so hothead" laughed Sparx and flew away.
"I hate when he calls me that" said Flame annoyed.
"Hihi I think it sounds cute" giggled Ember and it made Flame blush.
"Um… okay" he said and he suddenly felt nervous.
"Um Flame?" asked Ember in a more quiet tone now.
"Yeah?"
"I thought… if you want to… go out some day?" asked Ember, also was nervous.
"Me!? But what about?…" he said and moved his head towards Spyro.
"Well he has Cynder… and she has actually been really nice to me and I don't want to ruin a maybe good friendship… besides I don't want you to be alone" said Ember and blushed a bit.
Flame blushed more… she really cared about him.
"S-Sure I would love to go out with you" said Flame nervously and was all red in his head.
"Hihi hothead is a good nickname to you" she giggled as she looked at his red face and it only made him blush even more.
Flame slowly moved closer to Ember so he didn't wake up his half brother. He nuzzled Ember and smiled and so did she.

"Spyro look" said Cynder quietly.
Spyro then looked at Flame and Ember and smiled.
"I had always the thought that they would be together one time" chuckled Spyro.
